Dakota is a
somewhat nervous dog who will need an experienced Siberian
Husky owner to guide him through life. He is very pack
oriented and will challenge the pack leader for authority.
He needs a calm, patient leader to help him understand his
place in the pack and role in the household.
He may do better as
an only dog and should not be in a home with children.
Dakota is a prime
example of what can happen to a dog who isn’t trained
properly and is allowed dominate a household.
He originally came
to Adopt a Husky 3 years ago but was returned to us by his
adopter a few months ago with some bad habits. The owner
failed to follow our advice in establishing pack order and a
routine in her household. We are working with Dakota to
modify the bad behaviors he has learned. |
