Comments: Cobalt is a "SPECIAL NEEDS" Siberian Husky. During the summer of 2007 he had a seizure. When this happened the second time after several weeks, he was checked by our vet and placed on medication. The seizures continued, again not regularly, so additional treatment was indicated. Several tests have been run and no cause defined. With the support of our vet, we are working to regulate him more completely. Only an adoptive home with someone familiar with this type of medical issue is considered acceptable at this time.

That said, Cobalt is a typical Siberian Husky and loves everyone he meets. He loves to snuggle, but don't let that fool you -- he can "turn it on" and run and play with the best of them -- and does with his canine friends... Cobalt is currently king of the castle in his foster home where he shares the family with three female Siberian Huskies. He likes to play fetch with the ball, although in typical Siberian style will not always bring it back to you...he will run around expecting you to come and get it from him! Cobalt is a very happy-go-lucky dog with a ton of personality. His medical issues notwithstanding, he's a great dog just waiting for his forever home.

I want to apply to adopt a dog now.

All dogs are:

  • spayed or neutered prior to adoption
  • evaluated for temperament and trainability
  • up to date on ALL shots, including Bordetella (kennel cough)
  • heartworm tested and on preventative year-round
  • micro-chipped for identification
