Beau
Name: Beau!
Sex: Male (neutered)
Color: Black and White with streaks of brown
Eye Color: Blue
Age: 2.5 years
Weight: Approx. 40lbs
Good w/ Dogs?: Yes!! He loves any and all dogs. He has never shown any signs of aggression towards any other living being.
Good w/Cats?: Unknown! He has encountered smaller animals and has only shown signs of curiosity such as inquisitive ears and a wagging tail.
Crate Trained: Yes! But my goal is to find him a home where he doesn't need to be in one.
Housebroken: Yes! Although a new home may take a brief time to get used to.
Energy Level: Very very high! He needs a home and family where he can truly be himself and zoom to his heart's content, be that in a yard, around the house, or with an active/present owner.
Good w/Kids: He has met kids and has only shown signs of love! He gets excited with anyone he meets so he may need just a bit of training on not jumping at a child who is smaller than he is, but he is truly only full of love.
Training: His foster before me has worked with him on basic training, and I have also worked with him. He knows the basics such as sit, stay, come, wait. He is unbelievably intelligent, so he also knows crate, bedtime, outside, and can even pick up on cues like brushing my teeth (time for bed), getting ready for work (time for crate), etc.
Comments: I have had Beau for almost 3 years now, and it has truly been such a wonderful experience. It has also been quite the struggle for both of us. Financially, mentally, emotionally, we are both drained. He has been a soldier and a trooper, putting up with 10 hour days alone, going through different sitters and walkers every day, and going through it all with a smile on his face. But I know deep deep in my heart that Beau deserves and needs so much more than what I'm able to give him. I told myself and him when I adopted him, that I would do anything and everything I needed to to make sure he's comfortable and happy. I have, and we've reached the point where it's become obvious that the only one who benefits from keeping him in my life is me. He needs a yard, a house, an owner who doesn't work 10 hours a day, and he needs to be with his people as much as possible. Although I know how much he loves meeting new people, having a different sitter come in every single day isn't right for him and isn't sustainable for me. Beau deserves basic necessities and more frequent attention and love than I am able to give him. I am of course more than happy to take care of him for as long as it takes to find him the right home as there is no timeline in which he spends any time in a shelter, but he deserves to live the rest of his life without compromise or struggle.
